What do we do?

We offer you a fast, simple, and affordable service for the legalisation of your private or business documents. Whether you need a certified translation, an apostille, or a consular legalisation – we are your point of contact.

The legalisation of documents often follows a multi-step procedure. Depending on the intended use, the document must be certified by a local authority, a cantonal or federal authority, and then by the consular section of a specific country in order to be recognized as genuine and legally valid.

Apostille

The apostille is a stamp that confirms the authenticity of an official document. Apostilles are issued by the competent Swiss State Chancelleries, certifying the authenticity of the document. They are accepted in all countries that have acceded to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961. The document then no longer needs to be submitted to the relevant embassy.

We can obtain apostilles for cantonal or federal documents, as well as for certified copies or translations.

For countries that have not joined the Hague Convention, over-certification from the relevant consulate or embassy must be obtained.

Legalisation

Over-certification, also referred to as legalisation, is the official confirmation of the authenticity and legal validity of documents for use abroad. If you wish to use an official document issued in Switzerland in another country, the authorities there usually require legalisation before it can be recognized as valid.

Certified Translations
