After the terrorist attacks in Paris the USA have changed their entry conditions. Now Swiss who have traveled through countries with terrorist potential or who have their nationality, need a US visa.
The list of countries considered dangerous includes Syria, Iraq, Sudan and Iran. Swiss citizens who have traveled through these countries on official assignment from the Swiss government are not affected by the changes. Most affected are Swiss tourists who have visited Iran in the last 5 years (more precisely after 1st of March 2011), as this country, regardless of the political situation, has developed into a culturally interesting and beloved destination. A spontaneous visit to the USA by electronic ESTA-visa has become impossible for around 30.000 Swiss citizens!
The affected persons have to apply for a US visa through the US embassy in Berne. The applicant has to pass by personally for an interview.
What we can handle for you:
You only have to go to Berne for the interview and will receive the visa by mail – normally within max. 2 weeks, but it depends on the embassy. Our service fee is CHF 80.- plus the consular fee of CHF 160.-
To take care of everything, we need from you a passport photo of high quality, a copy of your passport and the attached word-file completed. Please send us everything by e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
