Please note:

Kuwait has two kinds of visa, the tourist visa and the business visa.

The procedure for the tourist visa:

• If you are planning to stay in a hotel, this hotel will send you your visa by fax. The original visa will be registered in your passport upon arrival.
• In case you are invited by a citizen from Kuwait, there are two variants for the application of a visa:
  • The inviting person organizes your visa and will send you a copy by fax.
  • The inviting person sends an invitation to consulate by fax. The visa will be issued after approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (this will take 7-10 days).

Procedure for the business visa:

The inviting organization arranges the visa, which will be given to you when you arrive at the airport of Kuwait.

If the organization does not apply for your visa, you can request one directly at the airport, on the condition that you have an invitation letter from the company. This applies to the citizens from the following countries:

Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Canada, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, South Korea, USA, Vatican.

If the company does not arrange your visa and you do not have one of the nationalities listed above, we can help you obtain the visa.

In order to obtain your visa to Kuwait, we need all of the following documents from you:

• Original passport (has to be valid for at least another 3 months)
• Visa application, fully completed and personally signed
• 1 recent passport photo
• Copy flight reservation
• Extract from commercial register from the Swiss company
• Letter or fax from contact in Kuwait, confirming your arrival (has to be signed and directly sent to the consulate)
• Copy of residence permit (for those WITHOUT Swiss or Liechtenstein passport)
• Return envelope stamped for CHF 6.00.-
• Completed order form to bornpower gmbh (see below)

Processing time visa:

• 7-10 days after receipt of passport

For Swiss citizens:

Single entry: CHF 200.-
Multiple entries: CHF 200.-
Transit: CHF 125.-
