In order to obtain a visa for Saudi Arabia, the applicant needs to go personally to the responsible visa centre in Bern for an interview. This is the address:

You must fix an appointment first (electronically on the website of VFS Tasheel). The documents must be complete, if they are not, the application will not be accepted.

In order to obtain the visa for Saudi Arabia for you, we need all these documents:

• Valid passport (needs to be valid for at least 6 more months after your return date and needs to have 2 empty pages)
• visa application form in English or French, completed and signed
• 2 recent passport photos (in colour and with a bright background)
• copy of your residence permit (gilt für alle OHNE Schweizer oder Liechteinsteiner Pass)

Additional documents for business visas:

• excerpt from the commercial register of the Swiss company
• excerpt from the commercial register of the Saudi company
• transfer letter from the Swiss employer sending the applicant:

  Has to be addressed to the embassy, has to show the applicant’s name, give the reasons for the trip, the name of the institution that will be visited, the number of entries and the needed validity of the visa, confirm the assumption of the travel costs, it has to be signed by the applicant’s superior and stamped by the chamber of commerce.

  We carry out the certification of the chamber of commerce for you.

• Invitation letter from the company which will be visited:

  A copy is enough. It needs to mention the name of the applicant’s Swiss employer, it has to be addressed to the consulate in Bern and it has to be issued by the foreign ministry of Saudi Arabia.

  Please note: there are NO tourist visas issued!
